09 -V Differential is a very heavy duty design!
With no wheel hop, this setup should rock.

Getrag is building the diff.
While the base CTS has an aluminum housing,
the -V has a cast iron housing and a four pinion diff. (look that one up, I did)
It's WAY stronger right out of the gate.

The extra weight in the -V is there for a reason!
It seems they learned lots with the race cars!
It did not slow them down at the "ring".

Man all this info on the 09 V really makes me question my resolve in not getting rid of my 05 V and getting the 09 V in Oct.

If I do give in I am going to have one hell of a fire sale on performance parts for the first gen...

I am sure the '09 is worth its weight in gold-they learned a lot from the current owners bitching so much.
I would say the '09 diff is perfect, but that will only be true if they can retrofit it on mine for less than $5K.
