No CTS-V order info until September :(

My question is does this mean the car is actually delayed significantly or is the ordering just being forced into being closer to the release date to try and create a bigger ordering such as the cars will show up soon after first orders are put in?? No one ever said it was going to show up before October or November anyhow and September order date could mean orders can be placed until just before build starts to try and create an order rush and huge initial back log??

All Cadillac has said to this point is it will be available in the fall/Q4 of 08. If production starts in September, that's a valid statement.

I just left my dealership and they told me that the district rep was in Saturday and told them they would have all the info and could start ordering in June for fall delivery.

Anyone have anymore info on this. I now am going to not only need tires but front and rear brakes in the next few months. Hate to spend the money for a car I am getting rid of in the very (hopefully) near future since my deposit is down already

Can't be so. There is another thread about 2 months back that said info is coming "soon" and when I questioned it he pointed out how all of his other info he gave was rock solid and basically told me to go F**k myself even though his other threads had nothing to do with the thread he posted. I knew it was being delays because Caddy knew long ago it was going to be delayed and that is not a huge secret that could get somone fired.

Now that's an interesting interpretation of what happened. I have documents in my hand that state SAE hp and tq numbers will be released in "Early April"- I posted that information, and you called my post stupid and accused me of not knowing anything more than the average Salesman. GM has been stating the car will be available Q4 2008, and that hasn't changed. I've already posted all the options and colors in the "Confirmed Info" thread, and the SAE #s should be right around the corner. I don't know them yet, nor does anyone else including Cadillac until the tests are performed. My 2004 was built 2/11/04 and on the lot 2/21/04, so it's not like a September ordering schedule is going to push these cars past the original planned release.

Everyone around here needs to chill out a little bit. Myself and Lusterblade gain basically nothing by posting this info on the forums- especially when several people I've had long email conversations with go reserve a car elsewhere after pumping me for information (thanks guys!). V-Series sales make up a tiny fraction of my sales for the year, so if I wanted to hype something to make a ton of money I'd be over in the Escalade forum where I've got a ton of product I could sell RIGHT NOW. These posts are mainly for the betterment of the community. I pass along the info as I get it, so can the insults please.

All of the reliable sources say 4Q 2008 for the 2009 CTS-V. 4Q is October at the earliest. I seriously doubt the 2009 CTS-V will be available before then. All you folks who think they will get one sooner are going to be disappointed.
