Official Specs should be released soon

Keep an eye on the blogs, web sites and magazines- reliable sources indicate that the official Manufacturer specs on the 2009 CTS-V (hp, tq, 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc) will soon be released to the media.

As a bit of a teaser, I think I can assume that everyone here thinks 4.0 is nice round number, right?

Cool! I was hoping this would be released at NYIAS!! 4.0 sounds about right to me also. Wonder if they will be so bold as to state a ring time for all other to aspire too??

I'm am guessing it may take place thursday, that is the press/invitee day kicking off the NY auto show. The show for general public starts friday. Again, just speculating, but it makes sense.

Sorry guys, maybe I should have been a little more specific: The specs aren't going to be announced today, but soon. We've all been wondering when we'll know, and the Development person I'm in contact with about fluid specs and retrofitting the rear diff sent me an email the other day asking me to keep things under a lid until the media announcement "which should be soon".

I didn't mean to give the impression they'd be up immediately, but rather that they're coming soon for sure and we'll be able to stop speculating. I would imagine that price will most likely be included in the announcement.

I see!! I was wondering if they would actually release big, yet similar but more detailed info like this at a big autoshow. With all the other news surround NYIAS I guess maybe this info would be held until after the show news has settled so it doesn't get lost as just the same news as the original CTS-V info. I think I had heard somewhere that ZR-1 and CTS-V final power and other info(pricing maybe) would be released in april. That would be soon and outside the show season as more of a final info before production and on sale dates hit.

I'm hearing 4.0 and 12.0 too. I'm hoping the magazines can abuse out a 3.95 and an 11.95.
