I glanced at loaded 08 CTS (non V, naturally), and it had a sticker of $54,000 and some change. It seems $6k more for a V would be a steal. I remember the new 05 V sticker being $50k+ when the most expensive 05 CTS on the lot was $32k (almost $20k more).
What I want to know is how much the proposed coupe will be! |

I'm hoping GM is going to price it right around the just announced price of under $58k for an M3 coupe. Yes, the V's target is the M5, but it will definitely lure sales away from M3 buyers if they find out that they can get an extra 130hp/255torque for the same price. |

My understanding is the v has few options to increase the price above base. Recaro seats (that could cost) transmission, maybe sunroof. |

I believe the competition is the m5 not the m3. Press and Gm refer to it as the m5 killer. Based upon those comments and the amenities, I believe it will be priced around 70 to 80. Just a guess though. |

Cadillac sees the M5 as the 09Vs competition - target market. But that gives the potential M3 buyer in the ballpark of the 09Vs price range. So they could possibly draw both customers from BMW. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
