Gotta sell off those 2007's first. Once the '08 inventory is at decent levels, they'll push the '07 off the front page and start really marketing the '08s.
Believe it or not, not everyone is as savvy as us. A lot of shoppers are oblivious to the fact the CTS is changing, and those are the people who will buy the '07s (them or the bargain hunters).

Had to post because I've become enamored with the 2008 CTS. I will have to decide whether to trade the E55 for a CTS or wait a year for the CTS-V. My wife needs an automatic. Any confirmation on Auto for the V or not? Nothing I could do can convince her to drive a manual.  |

I don't think anyone knows for SURE, but I do believe there will be an automatic. It wouldn't hurt to wait a year anyway - more money to put down and lesser payments.. I'd wait.. I really 'think' there's going to be an automatic...

GM / Cadillac have not confirmed any real details on the car at this point. However with this design they have been able to plan for a V version from the start which means they could make sure the frame could support an auto transmission to make it an option. Let's face it, the more cars they can sell the better Cadillac will like it and there has certainly been some potential customers who did not consider the car because the current design was a manual only. The CTS-V has proven it can sell in it's current limited numbers of production, so providing an auto option for the 09 will simply mean more sales for a wider customer base. I would be extremely suprised if the 09 did not come with an auto option as well as the manual.
Like others had mentioned I would wait a few months, we should hear some solid details by the Detroit auto show after the first of the year. |
