Black CTS-V Pic and Engine!

This is the same bmwm5 thread showing the auto Show in NY except they have replaced the silver CTS-V with a black one.

Scroll down to the April 21st post by KRM 5 near the bottom.

so does the engine differ from the one in the Z06? kinda looks like the air intake is skewed to the left and an engine casing replaces fuel rail covers.

it's exactly the same. Prolly the limitation in engine bay size limits the car from showing its full potential

Bmw did the same with m3 and their m roadster. Same engine different output

It appears to me that they 'narrowed' the engine package a little by taking the coil packs off the rocker covers. I may be wrong. Any 'skewing' of the intake just looks like it comes from the camera angle.

I'd bet money that the 5HP reduction in the published numbers vs the Z06 is just a brochure derating to avoid ruffling the Vette guys' feathers. GM's done this any number of times over the past forty years - otherwise-identical engines get a higher number in the Vette brochures.
