Cadillac Forums: How to play DVD's while driving???
__________________ 06 Black on Black on Black V, Lingenfelter CAI, Maggie, High Flow Cats, Resonator, Kooks Headers, Corsa exhaust + Tony's corvette tune (486 RWHP), UUC Knob, shifter, UUC Bushings, cross drilled rotors, hawk pads, SS brake lines, black powder coated wheels, Red calipers, blacked out grill, black frame, all the lights except center tail - blacked, tinted windows, racing pedals,full size spare, V signs on all the headrest, DVD headrest, boost gauge.
If it does not work type it on, this is the only way I know of to play movies, but nothing else works while it is playing and once stopped you have to stop car and follow procedure again to start one again.
Last time I did it I had to go through the procedures about 5 times before it actually "flickered". Wife got to watch a movie during a long drive though.
With car on and the parking brake on, put movie in and DONT MOVE until the movie has started. Once you hit those buttons (and see the flicker) you should be good to go. I did mine on the way back from North CArolina and it worked awesome. I could control the volume though, don't know why you wouldn't.
If you stop and put the brake on, it will disengage though!
The part that is a little vague in the FAQ instructions that is critical is that you need to keep a finger on that first button you press (holding it down)while then pressing the other button, so that both buttons are pressed down together before releasing (rather than pushing one button then the other as the FAQ nebulously states)
