I finally bit the bullet and ordered the chromed stock wheels for exchange from OEM. They were at my dealer in PA within 5 days, I had them installed BY MY DEALER (who left not a mark on the wheels, by the way - the Goodyear tire store I got my runflats from scratched my original painted stock wheeels.)
I have to tell you - these wheels are gorgeous! The chrome really sets off my black V beautifully and the wheels look absolutely perfect - I hope I can keep them that way.
One of my chrome stockers has a very slow leak. It has had it since I bougt the car and has been "repaired" about 6 times at different dealers and tire shops. No one can seem to actually fix it so I have to add nitrogen about once every 2 weeks to that one tire (I put in about 38 psi and refill at about 28). Seems the chrome is messing with the bead in some shape or form.
So far, so good. They've been on almost 6 days and haven't lost anything yet.
Dealer set them cold at 33 lbs and that's exactly where they've stayed.
Are yours chrome or polished? There were no chrome wheels from the factory - the "shiny" factory wheels are polished wheels. Chromed wheels were either the stockers being sent out to be chromed, or they were exchanged for chromed wheels. "OEM" is the company I swapped the wheels with.
I will take pics as soon as I can, but I still don't know how to upload them. Help?
It's been mentioned before, but one more time won't hurt.....check the nut on the valve stem for the TPS. If these are a little loose you will lose a small amount of air.
I am interested in this OEM company that you exchanged out the wheels with. Do they have a website or do you have contact information for them? I would like to do the same thing for my V.
