Damn, you are going to be close to 500 on that dyno. Doing UD HB also?

Mustangs are always all over the place, Dynojets are 'usually' closer to each other.
In perusing various car forums (I own 3 cars, 3 different brands, plus I browse the forum for my brother's car, too ) I've noticed the same thing. Dynojets are very repeatable, although they do tend to spit out pretty optimistic numbers. But, that doesn't really matter as long as you're comparing Dynojet to Dynojet, or even better, your own car on the same Dynojet.

Dyno Dynamics also seem to be pretty consistent from dyno to dyno. They also put out pretty pessimistic numbers. My dyno results for my Subaru were 15% higher on a Dynojet than on a DD.

Mustangs, for whatever reason, seem to be hard to compare to each other. I've seen some results posted that were heart-breaker results, numbers similar to what a DD puts out. And I've seen others that were up in the Dynojet realm. I don't know what it is about the Mustangs that make them seemingly so sporadic, but anecdotal evidence seems to indicate that trying to compare one Mustang dyno to another is a crap shoot.

Anyway, nice numbers, Jon. It'll be interesting to see what your baby lays down with the big heads and cam!

Re: Dyno time!! New bolt on KING!?!?!?

Its a corvette air bridge with a huge conical filter and some duct work to make a scoop in the lower grille. The clutch is a SPEC stage 3+ w/aluminum flywheel.

Pics in these 2 threads. Not for the faint of heart.

lol dont get your panties in a twist man, I was just joking.....don't take me too seriously. It seems I put you over the top.....I believe everyone else is making similar comments....why get so angry at mine alone? Either way I was just poking fun. Obviously I wish my car made 400rwhp.

Re: Dyno time!! New bolt on KING!?!?!?

I've never agreed with jbss71's posts. He's seems like more of a bullshitter than anything. And it was just you and him, I got at you both. Though, I'm sure he's not done. One thing about his post that different than yours is that atleast he knows of the dyno I'm on. Lots of people say that CarolinaAutoMasters is dishonest and whatever else. Which could be, but I've been around him a few times and he seems intelligent and has been getting rave reviews for 10 years about his tuning from people all over the country. Then all of a sudden nobody likes him anymore, and of course that corvette got wrecked and all the people that don't know anything about him are just totally against him.

I've seen fast cars come through there. And I've seen unimpressive cars from the other shops in this area. Seems like they're all even to me. Most people just try to be loyal, and if that means slamming the competition, then that's what must be done. Hey, I do it too.

So don't be such a dipshit just because you don't live on fantasy island. If my car dynos 10rwhp more than it should, well ok. So what, doesn't change anything. It's still impressive and I'm still the king. Bitches.

Jon

I
jeffs a cool cat, that doesnt mean his tunes are good. i had my run in back in 05/06. i wasn't 100% sold on his work, he got the car running but it wasn't right. before i made the 2 hour drive back up i asked around and got
''yeah ahh my tune is junk but jeffs cool''
this from atleast 5 people. this long before the 'vette thing'. IMO that didnt need to hit the internet as early as it did because it looked like jeff was trying to work it out.

as far as a bullshitter  its well known jeffs dyno is happy on the order of 20-30hp. this is what i've seen on atleast 5 lsx cars. Nicks dyno is setup correctly it uses about the CF as the dyno i used at TRD which was tuned. i havent used Alvin's yet i have some exhaust stuff to work out first

i might be a ******* but i've made a living building fast cars, street or on the track

incase you still dont think i've made the trek to ghetto

Well, what did your car dyno there? I'm sure you will say that is was low because the tune was half assed. Just in browsing a few forums, I've seen pretty average numbers from jeff's shop. Some high, some low, but most are as expected.
