12's

I have an '05 V that I picked up a few months ago. Like it very much so far. It has 19,000 miles on it now, and came with a cold air intake and Borla exhaust. It's quite fast, but as some of you know, the new Lexus IS-F, BMW M3, and the new C63 as well as others, run mid 12s out of the box, 0-60 in the low to mid 4's. I don't know what the minor mods have done to increase my performance if anything, but are there any bolt ons that anyone can recommned to get a V DEEP in the 12's? As you all know, getting that power to the ground seems to be a big CTS-V issue and there are a number of said fixes. Any real experience with something that works? I just got mine back from the dealer today to have a noise/loose feeling in the rear end fixed (bushings) and the clutch pedal sticking to the firewall under hard acceleration (leaking fluid source repaired, top up).

First step get a Maggie. Next step be carefull on how you launch as you do not want to blow up the diff. Those two thing will get you consistant 12.3 to 12.5 at 114 mph to 116 mph.

Re: 12's

Oh and my 60ft sucks... I can't break 1.9... So if you are a good drag racer you should be able to beat the numbers I just put up^^^^

Re: 12's

Without a lot of money, the V doesn't make a good drag car.

It has mid 12's speed from a roll though.

65 mph in 3rd gear up to 135 is p0wnage territory for the V.

Back when I was lightly modded like you, at that speed, I lost to an SL55 by .5 cars, and a viper SRT-10 by 1.5 - 2 cars, and those are FAST cars.

FYI on Thursday, raced the same SRT-10 again. Dead even 70 - 135, with my current mods.
