Need to replace lumbar motors

Hey Guys, I need to take apart both front seats to get to these motors. Anyone have instructions, tools ..etc to do this - I'd rather not buy the set of manuals for this job. - thnx

Re: Need to replace lumbar motors

The warranty on your 05 is up?

Apparently taking these things apart is a PITA, I just asked an upholstery guy about changing out the pseudo suede inserts and it was $800 in materials and another $800 in labor an he acted like it was a true pain to do.

Re: Need to replace lumbar motors

Unfortunately no warranty...
I've mickeyed around with the seats and it is a PITA! I was hoping someone had some pics or procedures to help. For example, to remove the headrests there is a teeny, tiny, little hole in the plastic sleeve opposite the push button, that when you insert a pin (I used a 1/32 drill bit) it slides right out. I'm looking for hidden clips, screws ...etc before I start ripping plasic off.....

Re: Need to replace lumbar motors

Hope this helps.

Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement

1. Grasp the top portion of the seat back trim panel and pull out to release the push-in fasteners.
2. Firmly lift upwards to remove the seat back trim from the seat assembly.

3. Disconnect the lumbar motor (1) electrical connector.
4. Push in on the lumbar assembly (2) and disengage the assembly from the seat frame.
5. Remove the lumbar assembly.
