| | | MPG -- Premium vs I've been using 89 fuel for the V.. getting about 18-19 mpg. I thought I was saving money, but really it was costing me.
I put in a tank of premium gas and as of now it reads 21.2mpg.
That equates to approximately an extra 35 miles per tank.
It costed me $2 more for the prmium, but saved me $6 in mpg.
I'm not 100% concerned in the few bucks it saves.. but just a FYI for those MPG watchers.. |

| | | Re: MPG -- Premium vs The last time I saw 22 mpg mine was stock.
Now I can get maybe 19 but I have to be on the highway.
Around town or short trips forget it.
Like an Irishman I knew I think it has to drink half a pint just to wake up!

| | | Re: MPG -- Premium vs Sorry for the late bump, but I've been offline for a while.
Almost unbelieveable, I was driving across the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel last week (which is about 25 miles long, and mostly flat flat flat), with the windows up, ac/heat off, in 6th @ 60 mph w/ cruise on, I averaged 27.8 mph over the 25 miles. WOW!
I guess if you lived in kansas, and could keep your foot out of it, the old lead sled can be somewhat fuel efficient.
