| | | Do I have serious problems. Codes inside Im throwing 6 codes after getting scanned. I just installed Kooks long tubes catless to magnaflows. These are the codes
p0134 - P0134 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 1 PCM
p0135 - P0135 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 ECM, PCM
p0141 - P0141 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 2 ECM, PCM
p0154 - P0154 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 2 Sensor 1 PCM
p0155 - P0155 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1 ECM, PCM
p0161 - P0161 HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 2 ECM, PCM
Im thinking its the ECT sensor, anyone agree? I kind of smushed it a little, but it the connections looked and fit fine.
I ran without the fron 02 sensors for 10-20 miles. But I put them in about 2 miles before I got scanned. Im wondering why its not reading them still. Did I blow the fuse maybe? I will go check it. Please someone tell me if these codes are the normal post header install codes. Thanks
I plan on getting a tune within a week.

| | | Re: Do I have serious problems. Codes inside The codes need to be cleared and they need to make sure that they're hooked up correctly. CTS-Vs have male connectors on one side and female on the other for the 02s, and I've seen people connect them to each other instead of the PCM. No, I'm not kidding.

| | | Re: Do I have serious problems. Codes inside I mean Im pretty sure they are hooked up correctly. I used the extensions kooks gave me, and plugged them into the sockets for the pre-cat o2, then connected them to the front o2 sensors connectors and plugged them in. Could i have blown a fuse, or could it be the ect sensor?
DTC P0135, P0141, P0155, or P0161 Summary Only
ircuit Description The heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) must reach operating temperature to provide an accurate voltage signal. A heating element inside the HO2S minimizes the time required for the sensor to reach operating temperature. Voltage is provided to the heater by the ignition 3 voltage circuit through a fuse. With the engine running, ground is provided to the heater by the HO2S heater low control circuit, through a low side driver within the powertrain control module (PCM). The PCM commands the heater ON or OFF to maintain a specific HO2S operating temperature range. The PCM determines the temperature by measuring the current flow through the heater. When the heater is in the ON state, the PCM will pulse the heater OFF for a duration of 50 ms, once per second. When the heater is in the OFF state, the PCM will pulse the heater ON for a duration of 50 ms, once per second. The PCM monitors the heater current with the engine running. The PCM also calculates the heater resistance on a cold start. Both diagnostics will only run once per ignition cycle. If the PCM detects that the heater current or the heater calculated resistance is not within the expected range, the following DTCs will set: DTC P0135 for HO2S bank 1 sensor 1 DTC P0141 for HO2S bank 1 sensor 2 DTC P0155 for HO2S bank 2 sensor 1 DTC P0161 for HO2S bank 2 sensor 2 Conditions for Running the DTC Heater Current Test DTCs P0068, P0101, P0102, P0103, P0106, P0107, P0108, P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0120, P0200, P0220, P0300, P0442, P0446, P0452, P0453, P0455, P0496, P1125, P1258, P1516, P2101, P2108, P2135, U0107 are not set. The ECT Sensor parameter is more than 50°C (122°F). The Ignition 1 Signal parameter is between 10-18 volts. The MAF Sensor parameter is between 3-40 g/s. The Engine Speed parameter is between 500-3,000&nbs... |

| | | Re: Do I have serious problems. Codes inside You mean on the rh side the front 02 leads with a female and on the LH side the fron 02 leads with a male or vice versa?
or do you mean that the front rh side 02 leads with a female (or male) and the rear rh side 02 leads with a male?
Either way Im only running front o2's right now, the rear connectors are just dangling. |

Or go get a code clearer.
You really confused the PCM and no wonder it's throwing codes.
Suprised your not in "reduced power mode".
Now that everything is "hooked up" you can start from scratch.
You either need to run the cats and turn off the rears or run with no cats and turn off the rears (o2 sensors).
You are still gonna need to retune the thing so Iwould have the rears turned off when tuned (Hey Ric!).

| | | Re: Do I have serious problems. Codes inside well I disconnected the battery, and the check engine light is still on. I guess I should go get a rescan to see if some codes went away? I think 135 and 154 are post cat sensor issues, which arent of worry to me as of right now. |

You don't get "instant gratification". |

| | | Re: Do I have serious problems. Codes inside You're still going to have a MIL with the rear 02s disconnected, but if you pull the codes again they will only be for Bank 1 sensor 2 and Bank 2 sensor 2- sensor 1 is the pre-cat, and 2 is the post cat.
There's really no sense in clearing the pre-cat codes until you fix the post-cat sensor issue. If the pre-cat sensors are hooked up now, the car can see them and will adjust A/Fs. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
