Has anyone done the Autovation pedal install by supergluing the parts to the metal-exposed pedals? I noticed this on the Autovation website (to prevent drill bit skating).
If so, did you just do the 1/8" drilling with the plate in place, or did you do the entire drilling with the Autovation pedal in place?

Reason: further clarification
I don't know if I would trust glue to hold on pedals. I wonder if temperature changes would affect the strength of the glue after a while. Anyway, I did install Ultimate Pedals and drilled and through bolted the pedals. The footrest was fastened with screws. My pedals had holes in them and I was able to mark them with a pencil then
center punch a hole. Then just drill through. Good luck, you'll enjoy them.
I obviously intend to drill through the brake and clutch pedals to mount the covers...I just wondered if anyone glued the pedal covers in place to then drill through the mounting holes, rather than just marking the holes and removing the covers before drilling.
Pimpcaddy's right ... especially about the "take your time" part.
I placed mine up into position, drew a circle within each hole I intended to use, center punched each circle (that's the hard part IMO), and it was downhill from there.
I did mine a couple weeks ago and finally got around to uploading the pictures.
Before, with the clutch pedal cover already removed:
Clutch pedal installed. I actually found the all-metal pedal was about the easiest one to deal with.
Really the only hitch in the install was on the e-brake pedal. Apparently, that pedal has a metal core to it. I drilled some shallow pilot holes, but when I went to install the lower screw, the thing got to that metal core, bound up, and snapped! Fortunately, I had enough room I could re-drill the holes about 1/8" higher and install the pedal cover. You can see the broken off screw in the lower hole.
Almost there, just the gas pedal left. My kit came 1 short on the screws, so I had to wait on the gas pedal to go buy another screw the next day.
Brake pedal is a little crooked, but it's not something I'll ever notice (other than in this picture), so I don't really care.
After installing the gas pedal, heel-toe was only marginally improved by having the wider pedal. It was still too low. So I bought some longer screws of the same type, and then used a 1/4" nut as a spacer on each screw to raise the height of the gas pedal. Perfect!
