FYI, here is the used oil analysis results of my initial diff fluid change:

Given the high wear, if you haven't changed out your diff fluid yet, I'd give it serious consideration.
Thats kinda scary!

Owner's manual requires synthetic 75w90 (GM part 12378261) and 4 oz of limited slip additive (GM part 1052358).

Most high quality synthetic gear lubes such as the AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 I put in mine already have the limited slip additive in them and extra is not normally needed (I didn't use any and my diff doesn't chatter).

Re: Surprise in Diff fluid

I finally took the car in after it spent a month in paint/powdercoat. The culprit was the clutch plates bevelled washers. Both were shattered but still in place except for the one piece. My dealer also said the pos track was not disengaging thus explaining my avanced rear tire wear. Clutch plates and washers were replaced no questions ask. (My dealer rocks) The car is now smooth and quiet. Wow what a difference in how it feels.

On the way home I noticed all the TC modes were working except the competitive driveing mode. The Nav system was replaced due to yes you guessed it, peeling buttons. Could the driving mode just not be showing up or is it something else?

Go back to dealer, NAV/radio has to be programmed for a CTS-V in order for it to enter competitive mode.

Doesn't the traction/stability system still enter competitive mode when you "double click" the T/C button even though it doesn't display on the NAV? I have been too lazy to return to the dealer to get mine re-programmed because it seems to still to enter comp mode.
