Blue Diamond

Has anyone seen blue diamond on a car yet. I have an 09 that will be ordered on May 22 with expected build week of June 8. The dealer has a blue diamond DTS on order (over a month) and I thought I would be able to see it prior to my order actually being submitted. I was told yesterday that their DTS is to be built the week of May 22 and will not arive until after the first week of June. They indicated that no Blue diamond DTS's have been built yet.
I thought I saw on this forum that someone has seen the color on a car. Is my dealer incorrect. Has anyone seen the color on a car and if so where?

jtallequipment, the official DTS Distribution Update sez ...

"Effective 3/3/2008, the following changes will be made to the Vehicle Order Guide:

... Color and Trim section-(Nuance Leather), added new exterior color (96U) WA-580Q Blue Diamond Tricoat. It is available at extra charge (footnote #6) and is available with all interior color offerings."

jtallequipment, here's a suggestion. Go to the Cadillac website and type your zip code into the Dealer Locator at the top right of the page. You can then search local dealer inventories. For example, North Bay Cadillac in Great Neck NY has a Blue Diamond DTS in inventory: http://www.cadillac.com/ws/nvlWindow...ue&GMS=junebug

holy sh-t 928s I have been watching that dealer for weeks and all on order have been inbound this is the first one that shows with a VIN. Thanks I will go look at it tomorrow (only about 15 miles from me).

IF it's actually there. The online system gets updated when cars are on their way, but sometimes not there yet. Still, it's your answer when and if it is

You are correct Caddycruiser they do not expect the car until June. The guy I spoke to says that the dealer is the largest in the east coast and that this batch of Blue diamond DTS's is the first released to dealers and that car will be the first they receive. So I guess I will not be able to find it out there. Funny thing when I go to Cadillac.com and search their inventory it still does not show up, yet when I use the link 928s supplied it does.

Brian Bennett of Quarrell Cadillac in Lexington Kentucky was nice enough to send me a picture of the one they have. Cadillac marketing indicated first cars are just going out. Will not see one by me for a couple weeks.
