suspension

is it possible to switch shocks from the fe2 suspension with fe1 for a softer ride?

Re: suspension

IMHO, I believe that the 18" wheel with the lower profile tire has as much to do with the "harsher ride" as do the shocks. If you want a softer ride, get the FE 1.

Re: suspension

Are they shocks or struts? All four or just front or back?

Any other difference in the FE1 and FE2?

Question Re: suspension

I'm also interested in this issue. Bought the FE2 because of the look, but have grown to really dislike the hard ride on the crappy roads of New England.
Can a dealer make the change ? What's involved ?

Re: suspension

I suspect changing to 17" wheels and higher profile tires will improve the ride much more than changing the rear shocks, but it will cost more, too.

I'm planning on getting Goodyear Comfortread tires on my Deville, because the roads I use everyday are getting worse every year. They have a layer of soft rubber outside the belts.

Re: suspension

I live in Dallas. We have very good roads in Dallas and in Texas (where I do most of my driving)

So would I see much difference in my 2006 CTS non sport and 2008 CTS FE2?
