Changing Foglight Bulbs???

I got my HID-match foglight bulbs today (pics will follow!)....grabbed the manual and it said to replace the foglights you have to remove the "pushpins" at the bottom of the bulb. Well I looked and there are no pushpins to be found.

Has anyone had to replace a foglight bulb yet? Please tell me I'm not going to have to drop the bumper???

**EDIT**'

I found it...sorry. Sometimes the search engine can be a bit finiky....here's the link for those looking, thanks RAB

Re: Changing Foglight Bulbs???

I just changed out the bulbs with help from RAB's great writeup! I won't bother with pics because RAB's look like mine.

The new bulbs look great, a very nice $38 (including shipping) upgrade. Took me about 20 minutes to install them, and I even finished before the wife got home and was able to avoid the inevitable "You spent $50K on a car and you're still spending money on it??" They just don't understand sometimes!

The only parts I would add to RAB's fine writeup is that it's TIGHT in there, even when pulling the wheel liner back. I unplugged the harness before removing the lamps because the wire wouldn't reach out and there's no way you're getting two hands in there, one to hold the bulb and the other to pull the harness. So leave the bulb in the socket, pull the harness, then remove the bulb. Replace the new bulb, then plug the harness back in.

The pins that hold the liner in are typical body pins. They are two piece; pry the CENTER piece out first and this will loosen the anchor part of the pin. If the center part pulls all the way out and separates, don't worry it's not broken. Just insert it back in the anchor a little ways. When replacing, push the anchor part back into the hole, then push the center piece back in to hold it tight.

Let me know if there are questions!
