Black CTS 22 inch wheels 255/30/22 PS2

This is my first post to this forum! This is my first CTS! I am a long time Corvette owner. If you are interested..you can see my 66 and 05 Corvettes at http://www.rich66.com

I know... I know.. some of you will like the look and some of you will hate it.

I actually purchased my CTS with the rerequisite that I was going to find a way to get these 22s on the car. First I put it up on the rack and checked all clearances. The CTS 18s have a 49mm offset. So it was not a small task to find a wheel company that could provide a 59 mm offset to handle going from an 8.5 inch wide wheel to a 9 inch wide wheel.

The ride with the 255/30/22 is a little different than the stock 235. A little more road noise and the ride tends to feel more like my C6 Vette as far as road feel.

Don't worry.. I am prepared to be kind of flamed by the conservatives

It's beautiful! Have you got a shot that's directly from the side?

How did you get the cadillac crest on the wheels?

And yes, you should definitely prepare to be flamed by the geezers on here.

Whatever floats your boat.

Vogue didnt have whitewalls to fit? Got 2 15's in the trunk? Airbags next? Glow stix underneath? Were they sold out of spinners?

BTW, I am far from a geezer.

I would never do it. But I do like to look. and they are really nice. I have even considered trading my Polished aluminums in because I basically find myself attracted to "wagon wheels". That is wheels with some type of 5 spokes. BTW I am a geezer.

I'm diggin' the wheels, the '66 and the lighting! Now every time I'm in Austin I will be looking for that black '08 CTS with the sick 22s.

Re: Black CTS 22 inch wheels 255/30/22 PS2

They seem extreme just to be extreme, on the motto of "bigger is better just because".

But that floats your boat, and that's fine The Cadillac center is at least a nice touch.

Only other issue I see, and I know probably was hard to avoid, is the width vs. offset is off...the rear wheels & tires in particular seem too skinny or sit too far inward from the fender, unlike stock.

Not to HiJack, but I see you removed the front license plate holder and put some type of caps in the holes. What did you use? I really want to remove mine but can't find anything to make it work right.
