Mkaresh, make sure you check out the vibration at highways speeds thread. There appears to be several people with this issue.

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

Thanks for the tip.

I'm aware of that thread, that's why I drove the car so extensively on the highway at a range of speeds. I don't think this was that problem, or at most was a very slight example of that problem. I felt it only through the steering wheel, not at all through the seat of my pants.

The steering wheel is where you feel it though, not in the seat. The one I drove that had the problem had a very shaky wheel at around 65 or 70. I've driven two since that were great though.

Re: Post pics of your new 08's here!

Let me put it this way: if I hadn't been trying quite hard to feel something, I wouldn't have noticed anything. It was that slight.

I remember some people having driveshafts and diffs replaced for the issue you're talking about. I don't see how a problem with those would be felt only through the steering wheel.

Instead, if I was feeling anything at all it was a very slight wheel balance issue as felt through steering designed to provide feedback.

Doesn't sound like you have the problem then. With the one bad one I drove, the wheel was rapidly jittering back and forth about 1/2 an inch. Like I had the serious shakes or something.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Nothing like that in this car.
