As promised, here's my 3.6DI RWD White Diamond with a fresh coat of Zaino Z5, Z6 and Z8 after a good wash with Dawn and a clay treatment. (Lots of contaminents on the paint.)
What are the advantages of Zainoing a brand new car besides to remove contaminants?
The clay removes the contaminents. The Zaino provides a protective coating and shine. Makes it easier to wash and dry (repels water) and remove bug splatters. Google Zaino and read/see the testimonials.
Thnks for talking about claying your car. I've never tried it and wasn't sure it was worth the trouble. I decided to try it on my 2005 Corvette today. Used a clay "kit" that had the clay bar and spray. Did the whole car but didn't think it was working because the clay slid so easily over the car. I did notice it took all the hard-to-remove bug splatter off the front end that I could never get off before. I washed it again, and when I was drying it, I noticed two places I must have missed, because the paint there didn't look as shiney. Sure enough, I clayed those spots and they cleared right up. After I applied my wax, the car looked better than when I picked it up at the factory! I swear, it even seemed to smooth some of the minor orange peel. The color is Magnetic Red Metallic, and now the metal flake looks like it is about an inch below the surface of the paint. I'm a believer now. After I was done, my wife asked me if I was going to do the CTS next. Maybe next time I wash it. Thanks again.
