I'm not so sure a CTS-V could beat the new 425HP Hemi. Don't confuse that with the 340HP Hemi. The 425HP just came out.

Re: Wahts Faster

Keep in mind as it has been said in several post talking about this, that is NOT always just about the horsepower, but the driver as well.

IN NYC- for example there are hardly any 300C's, however 300's are everywhere "Baby Bentley's" as they are called are popular cause they're highly affordable and you can put 20" rims without modifications. And of course they get SMOKED by my CTS and any other 3.6 CTS as well- LOL

As for Nissans.
3.2 Altima
3.5 Altima

GARBAGE!!! SMOKED BOTH OF THEM TOO

3.5 Maxima was a better challenge- however last time I drove against one, I happen to know the road we were on better which is what I believe gave me an edge. But the Maxima is a serious car- horsepower and handling to kick butt.

The question is what will win between a 3.6l CTs against a Nissan Maxima 3.5L
Or the 3.6L CTS against the 3.5L Nissan Altima?

Those car have some balls I think the CTS will loose there.
CTS will beat a 3.5L Altima.. the auto on the 3.5L runs in the 15's the stick is just a little faster but not much. I would not think twice about taking out a stock 3.5L Altima. Maxima's and G35's may be another situation.

The 425hp Hemi is the SRT8. It's one mean ass car.

The 260 hp Altima 3.5 SER with the Nismo suspension and 6spd tranny is lighter than the 265 hp Maxima and just might surprise a few drivers out there. But . . . Altimas still have a problem with wicked torque steer and wheel spin in 1st gear from applying the power to the wrong end of the car.

If the Auto 3.5 Altima does 15's stock and the Manual transmission does better than that how do you figure a CTS will beat it? I think the CTS barely gets to the HIGH 15's like 15.9

The Thread is about the 3.6V6 vs 300C Hemi 340HP. Not about the Jap cars.
I found out about 0-60 time on the two cars. Very, very close. The 3.6 comes in at 6.4 secs and the 300C Hemi comes in a 6.3 seconds. I couldn't find the 1/4 mile time but I imagine the Hemi starts to breath and walk away from the CTS. But beteen street lights you may have a chance..specially if you've done a couple of mods like intake and exhaust. My wife has the Dodge Magnum with the Hemi 340HP. She want to race me!

Personally I like the style of the Magnum over the 300C.

Personally I hate the style of the Magnum it looks like an Ugly Wagon.

the regular 300C does 5.3 seconds from 0-60 not 6.3 like you said and 13.9 second in the 1/4 mile. There is no way to campare a 300C with a 5.7L Hemi to a 3.6L CTS. I better race would we a 3.5L 300 against a 3.6L CTS. I think the CTS would with but just by a little.

Here are the comparisons

I guess it's where you get your information that determines what's fact. I surely didn't make up my info. The 5.3 is for the 425HP 300C FYI.
As to the Magnum it's a matter of taste. I do know my wife gets thumbs up where ever she goes. Pisses me off because I don't come near the compliments. You should get use to stationwagons as they will be replacing the SUVs. It's already in progress. Of Course the Euros are ahead of us.
