My Saab came equipped with these lights even though it has side marker lights at the very front. I guess they help people who are passing see if you are signalling a lane change, or for pedestrians who cannot see the ends of the car. They are an ugly yellow color when off. I bought the CTS so that I would have a nice car to drive while my Saab is in being fixed.

I like side markers on some cars. I think the STS looks hot with them and thought about it on my CTS but it's a lease and I don't want to drill holes in it. If it were mine I would have done it.

They may be a good safety feature but in my eyes they are ugly. They add nothing to the smooth looks of that fender!

Did you wire them to be functional with the blinkers or did you wire them differently?

I wired them to the side markers, they only work when the turn signal bumper markers flash. Don't work all the time

Interesting wheels. What kind of tires? I'm looking at black rims with polished lips also.

These are the Axis 20" 9.5 wide 255/35/20 tires. Still have to install my eibachs yet.
