CTS-V vs. CTS w/ Luxury sport and 6-sp

If you want a 6 speed, then get the V. Don't even bother with a 3.6l CTS, because you probably won't find one anyway.

I have the CTS (luxury / sport package with auto + nav). I'm really happy with it. This is certainly the best bang for the buck. The car is quick. Really quick. It just isn't as fast as the V.

If the V was available with an automatic, I would be driving around in one. 400hp, are you kidding me? Unfortunately, my wife can't drive a stick.

In terms of the STS; I like it, but I don't like it enough (my opinion).

All, Thanks for your replies. I have checked the local dealers and a CTS w/6-sp is not available. I have decided to get the C6 and play it by ear on the Cadillac. If I have to entertain clients, I'll use the wife's Tahoe LT. If that becomes problematic, I'll revisit. Hey, if it goes well, maybe I can have both!

The 3.6 CTS is a great DD, but there isn't enough room for an adult male to sit comfortably in the back seat. When I sat in the back of an STS, I didn't think there was much more room back there, and the specs agree - only two more inches of leg room. I prefer the CTS and deal with the limited occasions when I wish for more rear seat room.

Something else to consider is the Cadillac "snob" issue. I know a lot of sales folks who won't drive a Caddy, Lincoln, or any luxury brand on business because it puts off some clients. I've never followed that advice, and have had fun with mostly good-natured ribbing about my CTS and, formerly, my C5.
