A new dealer is a must. Good luck with your letter to Cadillac. Not to burst your bubble but I got nowhere when I tried to get Cadillac to do something about my SRX that had ALOT of problems. I had that thing in the shop every other week. The only way I got GM to buy it back was with the help of the dealer which I think I still got screwed in the end. So if your dealer is crap than they might not be much help to you. Good Luck!!

I understand your thinking and appreciate your comment but remember, I have never proclaimed to be a spelling bee champion but Cadillac surely proclaims that owning a Cadillac is the American dream. A rolling high five. A tangible symbol of success. I dont see anywhere in that description that "Owning a Cadillac is like riding a bucking bronco", because the surges almost shake you out of your seat ! Or "Owning a Cadillac is like being at a rock concert" , because you have to have the radio up so loud to drown out the whine !

It's a shame that some dealers just don't get it. It's a frustrating experience. It really ticks me off to get the feeling that I'm being dismissed like a pesky fly or something.

Just like to add to what others are saying, if you are within driving distance from Lindsay take it there. I have nothing but great things to say about the service there. It's gotten to the point I don't let anyone outside of their dealership touch my car anymore, even for things like tires, inspections, oil.

i got a call this morning from the service team leader, he told me his tech's cannot duplicate the problems... He also stated that his tech's get paid by the amount of warranty work they turn over , so it is not in their interest to ignore problems and not fix them... I dont believe either statement, first off you dont have to hope to duplicated the problem, as soon as you begin to move the car the rear end whine is a non-stop !! Second EVERY time the car is in OD and is cruising at or around 55-60 MPH the cars surges and you can see the tach move between 1800-2200 rpm, not on occasion but EVERY time you drive the dang thing !!! And I dont belive that they make their money on fixing warranty issues, if that was the case, they would allways want to do major work, and it seems just the opposite !!! Like clockwork EVERY time I take the car into have the issue's looked at the service dept. ALLWAYS comes up with a maintenance related issue that they want me to pay for to try to resolve their problem !! Like I stated in the letter so far Ive paid for....... Fuel system flush and injector cleaning (seems crazy for 30,000), Road Force Balance the tires (the car has vibrated and rode like shit ever since) and this last time wanted me to pay for a transmission flush, fluid change and filter replaced (44,000 miles seems a little early for this to be causing any problems, I may be wrong but my C5 corvette and Toyota both have not had the pans pulled, drained and filter replaced, one has 50K, the other has 70K )

get real man, i bought it brand new right of the tractor trailer at the VERY begining of the model year... my wife drives it (like a granny) and has a 85 mile round trip commute to work every day !!! do the math , puts 22K on it annually... if you saw this car, you would see that its perfectly maintained and in imaculate condition !!! besides, do you think 44K is the life expectacy
of these cars ?!?!? i have enough scrupples to know when and when not to bark at a service man, If i bought this car from some rich kid who threw a bunch of pep boys stick-on portholes on the side and ragged the sh*t out of it and it was giving me a problem , i would say that i made a bad decision buy the car... PLEASE DONT TURN THIS AROUND ON ME LIKE I SCREWED THIS CAR UP AND WANT GM TO PAY FOR MY WRONG DOINGS !!!!!

Don't pay attention to the naysayers like that... they are just trying to get your goat.

I know this situation has you twisted up, and frankly I don't blame you.
As I mentioned, if you cannot find another local dealer that can help you bring it on over and we'll take a look at it.

I work in the Wash. DC area , do you think if i drove it down to you during the day you could take a ride while i wait??? it would be tough for my wife to follow me down so i could leave the car unless you notice the same problem and think you might need it for a few days ??? I reall appreciate your help !

Not necessarily true, I have 231,000 miles on my 04 Sebring Convertible and the oil is changed with Mobil 1 every 5,000 miles. Some people that depend on their car to make a living do take care of them.
