BTW, those are some great right-ups.

What brand plastic primer was that?

Re: Nite Shade'ing my tails.. what kind of clear should i use?

I used motomaster brand non-metal surface primer used for plastics and fiberglass. It comes in clear, the stuff dries super fast, and promotes better adheasion to plastic. I'm sure it's not needed and you could use any brand. I just used it for extra durability, my thinking was it couldn't hurt, and it was under 10.00 for a can.
i also used a silicon and wax remover to clean my lenses before spraying, the stuff makes for an excellent prep before spraying. i,m sure you could use soap and water only too. i use that stuff for prepping stone chip repair, it makes the surface ultra clean before painting. you can even see stuff on the towel you missed with just normal washing.

Re: Nite Shade'ing my tails.. what kind of clear should i use?

This was actually the 2nd time I tinted my tails. The first time the Duplicolor Crystal clear started looking like complete A$$ after about 8 or so months so I wet sanded them all the way down to the plastic & did them over. Made them a bit darker this time. I know a lot of people don't use the plastic promer, but it sure as hell won't hurt anything to take that extra step!

Here's a pic of mine. I'm going to put LEDs in the brakes because I was following my wife home the other day in her car & when the sun was shining on the tails you could barely even see the brake lights come on!
