| Re: Nite Shade'ing my tails.. what kind of clear should i use? I used motomaster brand non-metal surface primer used for plastics and fiberglass. It comes in clear, the stuff dries super fast, and promotes better adheasion to plastic. I'm sure it's not needed and you could use any brand. I just used it for extra durability, my thinking was it couldn't hurt, and it was under 10.00 for a can.
i also used a silicon and wax remover to clean my lenses before spraying, the stuff makes for an excellent prep before spraying. i,m sure you could use soap and water only too. i use that stuff for prepping stone chip repair, it makes the surface ultra clean before painting. you can even see stuff on the towel you missed with just normal washing.
