thanks 4 the reply
I guess what I'm wondering is which has the least issues, this is saying both have 3.6 engines.
Either way I droll over the look of both cars.

Have you driven both? If not do that first. I was very close to getting the STS 4.6 AWD but then drove my V and that was it. Regardless of the engine I like the CTS better.

Re: cts vs sts

The STS is front drive. I still like the traditional sport car feel with rear drive. But the STS has some cool features like keyless start and Bose in the headrests.

Re: cts vs sts

The STS IS RWD too. If they're the same year, I'd choose the STS personally. They're a better built vehicle IMO. I didn't look at the STS because I can't afford one.

EDIT: After looking at pictures of both, I actually do like the looks of the CTS better, and how it's sportier. The STS is more luxury oriented, the CTS is more "sport" oriented. I may have to still choose the CTS over the STS just for that fact. The STS will be quite a bit slower too due to the 400+ pounds it's carrying around that the CTS doesn't have.

Re: cts vs sts

The one thing I liked about the STS was the pushbutton start.
