| | | A Few Questions ok so i have a cadillac cts 2007 with 29,000 miles.
so here is my question.
since i bought the car i being having a problem with my driver chair (left shoulder) the leather looks like is peeling off, deep wrinkles and this blue stain is coming up out of no where, so my dealer actually fixed it for me last year, so i was just wondering do you guys think they will do again, is dat cover under my warranty ?
by the way the other chairs are perfect, they look brand new.
second question, you guys probably remember last year i did the navi upgrade with some big help from the forums i finally got it to work, but i just notice, when i go to info and look at my fuel range or my average speed is never acurate, i'll full up my car and check fuel range and it would show 320 miles left then i'll check again and it would jump down to 280 ??? on my friends car it tells him exactly how miles worth of gas he has left.
so did i do something wrong? and if i did, how can i fix it?
thanks in advance |

| | | Re: A Few Questions I dont believe the seats would be under warranty since it is a wearable item..just like brake pads, rotors...etc aren't. If you got it fixed over...im sure it shouldnt happen again. Maybe was your shirt wet one day and you were leaning more on that spot...especially to come out blue.
Do you not even move the car after filling it up and jumps to 280?? My cts would jump back and forth between the numbers during driving all because it depends on how you drive it. What is the time inbetween the look at the gas mileage?? |

YEAP IT jumps down without even driving the car.
is da how the cadillac cts is? i mean my friends lincoln when he drives it says exactly how many miles are left lets say he turns on the car and it marks 250 miles left n we drive 5 miles it will come down mile by mile 249,448 etc at the end 245 isnt da how my cts is suppose to work? |

| | | Re: A Few Questions The computer is calculating your mileage to empty based on your driving style. If you get on it, the mileage remaining will decrease. Drive like grandpa, go further. |

| | | Re: A Few Questions Oh, and your warranty on the '07 is "bumper-to-bumper." The seats should definitely be covered unless you are doing something to damage them beyond reasonable wear and tear. |

| | | Re: A Few Questions Hmmmm, my '07 will be two years old in September. I have not had any problem with either the leather seats or the door handles peeling. Sorry you are having issues. |

| | | Re: A Few Questions Actually, the cars can go very far between recommended oil changes because of the Mobil1 synthetic. I imagine that your oil life indicator is accurate and I wouldn't worry about that. |

| | | Re: A Few Questions Sounds like everything is working as it should except for the seat wearing obviously. As for fuel remaining, RightTurn hit it right on the head. It's not going to be the same all the time, it goes off of your average fuel economy. Your friend's Lincoln if anything, is less accurate than the Miles Until Empty that your CTS has. It goes off of real-time data, not a "guestimate." | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
