Hey, I was looking into getting a black on black 2005 CTS w/ Nav and was wondering if it could play MP3 CDs and if it was touchscreen. If it cannot play MP3, I think I will steer clear and wait for one without nav for cheaper. What year did the non nav CTS's play MP3 disc?
I'm looking for a black one, WITH BOSE (which seems hard to find). Heated seats and sunroof arent a requirement, but nice. I found a pretty good deal on one but I think I will wait especially if it wont play MP3.

My 04 with nav plays Mp3 cds. I guess that what your talking about. Do you just mean burned cd's in MP3 format? If so then yes it does.
Yes all the CD players will play CD burned with MP3's because it converts the mp3s to a CD,
however you will not be able to burn straight mp3 CDs with 80 songs or however many as they will not work.

Yeah, when you burn a CD using MP3's and it is measured in time elapsed, that means the MP3's are converting to WAV and will only be able to fit 80 minutes of songs on one disc. If you are talking about putting actual MP3 files on the CD, then the nav will not read those at all.
Also, with my nav, it will not read or play CD-RW disks. Only CD-R's.
Shit. I got all excited. I meant burning MP3 format CDs. The CD-RW playback is a problem with many players I know. Damn...Well I wont pay much extra for nav if any then, because I will probably replace it. Why the **** would Cadillac not think of this...ughh
The CTS playes CD's made from MP3's. I download songs for free from Frostwire (not stupid enough to pay) then burn them on to a a blank CD.
Sound quality is excellent.
