Yes, that would work because you're burning an MP3 in audio format, not in MP3 format. MP3 format allows for over 100 songs per CD.

Ok.. Let's not confuse the OP now. Burning a CD is just a phrase to use to make a CD regardless of whether you are making a data cd or audio cd or whatever. Yes, you can take approx 72 minutes or so worth of mp3s and create an audio cd from them and the CTS will play it, just like most any other fairly recent cd player would do.

I think the OP wants to take the mp3s and copy them (through the create data CD process) to a CD and play them straight from there. at 4-5 megs for a decent quality mp3 you can get up to maybe 150+ songs to fit on one 650mb CD-R. I don't believe the CTS is capable of playing those. It would have to be labeled as "MP3 Compatible" like you see on most dvd players or cd players that have that capability.
