Need New Speakers

One of my front speakers blew out i guess. I want to buy new speakers but i think i rembember reading somewhere on the forums that if you buy aftermarket speakers the sound quality will be worse. I have the bose.

Would i be able to just get a set of JL speakers for the front and keep or improve the audio quality?

I have a base system and I really want to upgrade my door speakers. I have an old amp and subs that are just sitting in my basement but I really hate running power wire the whole way back to the trunk so it will prob stay in my basement.

I'm guessing any aftermarket door speakers will be an improvement over the stock base system... any suggestions on the best doorspeakers for my buck? I'm planning on just plugging them to run them off the deck power. Any advice?

I installed a set of these a few months ago. they are a huge improvement over stock. I got mine from Ebay, pretty easy install. you will be happy with these.

I started today to install my system. I got to install only one Polk audio ( mmc525 ),but due to the rain I had to stop. Just on that single one that I installed, I notice a huge improvement. BTW I installed it to the factory system. And they fit the factory bolt pattern to the "T"

Should i be looking for 6.5 or 5.25? I have the bose.

The correct size on the CTS is 5 1/4. Im not sure if the "V" is the same.

Okay man here its goes...

I just installed new door speakers and subwoofer in my cts this past week. I went with...

-JL 300/4
-JL 6.5in VR Components for the front door and tweeters
-JL 5.25in VR Coaxils for the rear

and the sub i put...

-JL 1000
-JL 13.5IN W7
-Rockford 40 Farad Capacitor
-Optima Yellow Top Battery

First off you will need a adapter for your front doors because the bose highs are 6 and 3/4 and they dont make that size in any other speaker. And i dont know what ****in retard said the quality would be worse if you put after market but it sounds 3x as clear crisp and loud. Maybe if you go to wal mart and get their highs it will sound worse.

Or you can pay the shipping on my bose speakers and i can send them to u to replace your blown ones because mine still played perfectly.
