Angry Gear Problems...

Remove this ad
Hey guys,

I have a automatic 2003 cts 3.2L w/ 88,000 miles on it.

Do any of you experiance any delays with going into first gear from reverse.

When my car is parked and i shift it into drive the car will not go into gear for about ten seconds. I can slam the peddle to the floor but the car wont move.

I spoke to caddy a few months ago and they couldn't find anything.
  • My transmission fluid indicator shows 100% but its been like that for the past 3 years and hasn't went down 1 %. Is this normal?
  • Is there anything that you guys think i should mention to the dealership. I personally think the people there don't know there ass to there elbow so im going some where else i just want to present them with a few ideas.
  • My friend recommended i check to see if there were any computer updates. Is it available and would it fix anything?
Thanks for the help guys

Re: Gear Problems...

Automatic transmission fluid is not a consumable, so 100% indication is absolutely normal (and desirerable). It sound as you have a sticking solenoid, which a transmission fluid change may or may not fix. With 88,000 miles, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do fluid and filter change.
