Need replacement rotors

Remove this ad
I just need some info if anyone knows. I have a 2005 3.6L and I have the FE3 sport suspension with the Nivomat shocks in the rear. I need to replace my rotors all the way around but I don't know the size of the rotors I need. Does anyone know the size of the rotors on my car or know of a site/link I can go to in order to find out. I called the dealer here in San Diego and I gave them my VIN# but they said they only have codes and item numbers for the stock replacements but not actuall sizes. I need actual sizes because I am going to purchase some cross-drilled rotors online and I want to make sure I get the right size. I know the CTS-V has the big brake kit but I'm not sure if in 2005 the soft ride suspension and the sport suspension (FE3) came with the same size rotors. Thanks guys!!

Re: Need replacement rotors

I got a set of drilled/slotted rotors from www.rotorpros.com . Just tell them what specs you have and they will sell you the proper size. They are nice, painted so they won't rust and everything.

Re: Need replacement rotors

If you are looking for drilled/slotted rotors talk to Luke. He can get you a set of UUC ones that are really nice. If you want I would be able to send you a few pics of them.

Re: Need replacement rotors

dont bother with cross drilled, it just weakens the rotor and lessens the surface area for grip.
if you must, just go for gas slotting.
the gas slotting prevents the disc from brake fade while outgasing during high temp braking and also act as water channels when the brakes are wet.

sizes, this is a 5 bolt 115 mm offset (5X115)
Front Brake Rotor Diam x Thickness (in) : 11.9 x 1.3 Rear Brake Rotor Diam x Thickness (in) : 11.7 x 1.0

whoa, holly SH%$!!!

I just popped off an email to rotorpros and they got back to me in like 5 min.

260 for ALL four shipped. any style. holy god...

to give you a clue, the cheap powerstop ones
http://www.carpartswholesale.com/pro...+Slotted+Rotor

are still 60 a piece. and 60 is cheap. thats 240 right there (if rears are the same price) and THEN add in shipping.

260 shipped.. and painted.. and slotted...
wow.

Re: Need replacement rotors

Yea, I just got cheap chinese rotors from the local autopart store for about $40/pair (fronts only), I've put quite a few thousand miles on them and their just fine, no warping or throbbing. For all the naysayers, I chose this route because frankly I just didn't want to spend the money, and cross drilled/slotted aren't my priority.
