I'm not trying to be a jerk here but this has really been bothering me...
its VINYL, not vinal.
I work for a national sign company so I have access to truckloads of vinyl. What we throw away in one month could supply a small mom-and-pop company with enough vinyl to run for a year. If anyone wants some, I can get it to you cheap.
We have guys that have worked here for 20 years that still can't spell it.
So far, I've covered my rear bezel and side markers with the silver vinyl that matches my paint really closely. I'm not sure what I'm going to cover the fogs/running lights with yet. I really don't like the amber running lights and I'm not comfortable with baking my lites to get the lenses off.
I'm probably going to go with black but I'm not sure which one. I have perforated black vinyl that looks black when non-lit but lights white (or more like lt gray), but I'm not sure how it will look with the amber lense behind it.
better to accept your problems than fight them lol...spelling is the least of my worries haha
ya i think i saw your bezle in another thred... i did the same thing bout a week or 2 ago. im workin on some sort of design for the headlights.
my white is solid but when the signals are on it turns yellow again...looks camelian i guess you can call it. try it with the silver you used on your bezle..best thing is if you dont like it just rip it off...
i did mine without removing my fogs..no air bubbles no gaps...100% perfect.just cut it bigger than you need..put it on and slide 2 sides into place then tuck the other 2 in...then take out the bubbles...
im sure i dont need 2 tell you the process tho lol (cough ......soap and watter spray bottle lol)
great... you just let out a 100 year old sign builders secret... working with vinyl is pretty easy, you just have to be patient, use the soapy water, and have a sharp exacto knife. A heat gun helps too when you're in a pinch.
and the block fiber squeege...(spelling lol) when i did the fogs i used the hard squeege tho...easier to put it into place..
doing the bezle was the first thing i ever put vinal on, did it first try and i have to say i really did a good job..it got to a point where i was ready 2 throw in the towel then it all started comming into place...its not an easy thing to wrap...especially for a first timer..lol
Just so you guys can see what the sidemarkers and amber drls look like with a tinted vinyl, here you go. I prefer the tinted look a lot better than the white out (not saying white doesn't look good). JMO
