Re: Reverse Lights are Overrated

thanks cadilackin.

btw guys i figured out why its not a perfect match.. its because i ordered the thinnest i could get and with the factory bezle grey it makes it look darker than it should be.when i hold it up to the paint when it is still on the roll it is honestly about 95% the same, maybe even better. so im gonna use this stuff on my lights and im puttin in a order next week for some more but the thickest i can get so my reverse lights probably wont shine through it as well but it will look better. so if anyone wants some let me know ill add it to my order. it comes in a roll that is about 12-14 inches wide and as long as you want.

Re: Reverse Lights are Overrated

I'm interested to see how the pillars turn out... I wouldn't mind doing the same to mine since they're looking a little worn right now. I was thinking about painting them, but this is probably much easier.

What are you going to do with the headlights? White the entire thing out?

havent decided on the headlights yet, that will be last. im thinkin ill probably just do where it is grey around the frame of it and the headlight sprayer triangle cut out...i think you know what i mean.

im not a vender/store, im not selling this stuff, just givin it away at my cost to help out the white diamond guys(if someone wants a diff color i can try 2 get it but it will be harder to try 2 match it unless you can come to barrie ontario to the shop with your car)...but since it is a custom order remember its more than regular white vinal...regular white is about $2 a sqr foot this is about $10/sqr ft

Re: Reverse Lights are Overrated

I used black vinyl tint over my DRL's, sidemarkers and tail lights. I will be getting the following in pre-cut pieces of vinyl in the following colours:
Headlight eyelids
DRL and/or fog lamp
Sidemarkers
door pillars
rear bezel

I can get all pre-cut vinyls in:
white (flat white - not diamond)
black
silver (metallic avail.)
redline
and in a tint type of look like what I used.
will have prices soon (my cost + shipping) if anyones interested.

Re: Reverse Lights are Overrated

i think pre cut would be impossible to put on....its not easy to put this stuff on and line it up...better to lay it out on a big sheat of vinal with soap and water on the plastic you are puttin it on and then squeege out the bubbles and trim....personally ide rather have a roll of it....i tried normal white...it looked stupid.
would love 2 see what you mean by headlight eyelids...also pics of the pillars installed,,,,im debating on doing it still...i dont want it to look like 2 much.

also i have the fogs and sidemarkers done now...check my other thred on it..just did it today.

Re: Reverse Lights are Overrated

Pre - cut wouldn't mean EXACT measurements. It would be a little bit bigger and in the shape of the object so that too much trimming wouldn't be necessary. Headlight eyelids and sidemarkers would be EXACT as they are easy to apply.

Does flat white look that bad on DW? I really want to do the headlight and tail light eyelids like the ones from 8thDay (Caleigh) but they don't come in Diamond White
