New guy that needs HELP!

Remove this ad
I just purchased my 03 CTS a few months ago, and this is actually my first domestic ever. I love the cadillac and I am thinking of later getting another!

I have this one issue on my CTS, and it bugs the hell out of me. Whenever I run my ac, I get this mist or frost on my windshield that goes away if I defrost it, or hit my windshield wiper. I hate using the windshield wiper cause it causes streaks on my windshield after being washed. The defrost does it but its summer time and I'm not looking to defrost. Does anyone have this type of problem?

It happens on both open and closed vents (circulating). I have the air flow set to blow right at my body. I never had this problem in any car I've owned, so if someone could give me some info on how to make it stop I'd really appreciate it!

Problem happens mostly during sunset/night times. HELP!

Re: New guy that needs HELP!

Did you clean the inside of your windshield? I used to smoke and in my old car the "dirt" from smoking caused my windshield to do that. Also put rain X on your windshield.

Re: New guy that needs HELP!

Yeah I clean the inside of my windshield. Even after I do it'll do the samething. I was thinking it was the vents or something, possibly letting the ac thru the front windshield vents causing this problem.

When I do clean the windshield the problem doesn't get bad as quickly that's about it. I want this problem gone.
