i say you oughtta try it. they claim it works instantly. i seriously doubt it could do any damage in one oil change. chronicle your own personal experience with the product and let us know the results. or maybe someone who changes their own oil can buy an extra gallon+ of oil and if they don't get any results quick enough, they can just re-change the oil again.

every innovation is a "gimmick" until someone finds out that it actually works. i think someone (besides me) should give this product a shot and let us know their results.

Here is the thing

all subjective should be left off.

ie. It "felt" more powerful, "feels" stronger.

Dyno, for power.
MPG has to be carefully done over more than 1 tank full. Minimum of 5.

No way to do that unless in a carefully controlled environment.

On another note, I just finished reading an article about oil additives stating that they are a total waste of money that none of the car manufacturers recommend adding. At best, all they'll do is help drain your wallet, at worst, they can foul up a perfectly good engine.

I would never trust this stuff. Remember Slick 50? That company was investigated for fraud and was ordered to pull all advertising making those outrageous claims. You can still see it in stores, but you don't see the ads anymore. I wonder how many wallets were drained from that stuff!
The principle ingredient in Slick 50 was reclaimed crankcase drainings. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this stuff was the same. The partners in the Slick 50 enterprise had a falling out and aired all their differences in court. Everybody who has an interest in crankcase additives needs to read a synopsis of the trial.

thankfully our cars have a way to measure mpg. all one would have to do is see what they're currently averaging, clear it out, run a few tanks of gas (even one should work). and see if there's any improvement (or adverse affects). it could all be done well before a second oil change is necessary.

Re: Has anyone used this for a little more HP?

Royal Purple is one of the few products like that that works. I've seen a LS1 A4 pick up around 15 rwhp. But that was with the auto and rear diff fluid changed, in addition to the oil. Worth it on a car that you intend to run at the track... but the cost of all that isn't worth any gain you might see on a daily driver.
