JL coaxial speakers

Has anyone installed JL coaxials in the front doors of their CTS? I know the infinities are popular, but how about the JL's? I've had Infinity in every vehicle of mine, but for the CTS I"m thinking of going a different route. The biggest reason is because the Infinities I've always have do NOT have good bass reproduction at all. But, I've had subwoofer installations in all of my past vehicles. For the CTS, I'm only using the kicker sub mod in the factory location. I will need some good coaxials that have great sound quality, and good bass response as well. Being that JL is a good brand, I'm hoping that they have much better bass response than Infinity speakers. Does anyone have any experience with them? The BOSE speakers the CTS have now have pretty much no bass to them. It's kind of sad really for a 6.75" speaker. hah.

These are what I'm looking for:

I will be running an amp with these as well.

Re: JL coaxial speakers

they are ok, I have heard them when I was over my friend stereo shop. I think they not worth $189. not very good midbass response
but if you still want them, they are all over ebay for $98 plus $25 for shipping

Re: JL coaxial speakers

The vr's are ok but if you really want some good sound with great midbass go with either a set of their xr's or there new c5's. I have the xr components in all my doors and i made a center channel using there dual xr400s. The whole thing sounds great, very impressive.

Re: JL coaxial speakers

i believe the reason the infiniti kappas are so popular is because they're a direct swap for the factory 2ohm non-bose speakers, so theres no amp needed plus they sound way better than stock and also feature adjustable tweeters and bass controls ... if your going to add an amp and still have the factory HU i think this is where cleansweep comes in ...
