The car has been mine for one week today (YAY!). It had the condensation in the left reverse light when I got it, so it's not a surprise thing. I got it dried out yesterday, but I notice this morning it's starting to fog up a bit again.
I should have looked when I had the bezel off yesterday, but is it fairly easy to get the reverse lenses out of the bezel? If I can get it out, maybe I could work on it a little more to either dry it out better (I know there was a little moisture left when I was done) or seal it up better.
I know it's just reverse lights and not a real critical thing, but dangit, it's mucking up my pretty new white LEDs in there!
I took mine out and dried it, then I went over all the seams with clear silicon rubber. That sealed it and it's been good for 2 years. Mine is out of War. and the dealer wouldn't replace it.
Was it pretty straighforward to get the lens out of the bezel? Like I say, I didn't really pay much attention to that when I was in there yesterday. I just dried it while it was still in.
It was pretty easy, I think it's a 10mm socket, about 6 screws and it comes out easy. I dried it, cleaned it, and silconed the edges. I have a black 03 with grey pinstripes and the bezel adds good contrast and looks nice. I actully like the the original bezel. The color matched ones look different but not necessarily better.
