| | | I'd like your opinion on these photoshopped rims.... I know that I'm in the wrong forum but this community is much larger than the 08+ CTS forum and I would really like to know what you guys think. I have noticed as well that there are many more rides here that have been modded and that people seem to be more open to changes to the vehicle from OEM. SSsssoooo, here is a photoshop of some Boss 318 rims onto a 08 CTS. This is not my CTS and if the owner of this pic is reading this, I hope you don't mind me using your car. Mine is a black CTS as well (that I pick up in July) and as you'll see from this pic, I had to black out the chrome blingy fog-lights (that mine won't have). Granted, this is a photoshop, and a bad one at that, but from what is there. what are your thoughts?
What I'm trying to achieve here is to not add any chrome to the vehicle (I am not a fan of shiny chrome wheels) and by using these black chrome wheels, it isn't too dark either I think. The rims will be 20" with 245/40/20 rubber. The reason I like these rims is that they add some "sportiness" to the car, without being too boy-racer. Enough chit-chat, here's the pic:

| | | Re: I'd like your opinion on these photoshopped rims.... I like the black chrome! maybe 22's like DubStealth's 08 though, the 20's on the 08's dont really fill up the wheel well. 22's just fit the car without looking like a monster truck.
in other words: Nice. |

| | | Re: I'd like your opinion on these photoshopped rims.... Thanks for that but they only go up to 20"
I have heard from some other people that 22's may look better but I really think that I want to stay at 20" max.

| | | Re: I'd like your opinion on these photoshopped rims.... i think a black chrome 6 spoke wheel would look awesome on your 08--but not those..the end of the spokes just doesnt look right to me, screams "these came off an eclipse" -- again, thats just my opinion. But i love the black chrome and 6 spoke design & think a different wheel with the same finish & number of spokes would look perfect on that car. good luck, & again, thats just my 2 cents.
*edit*
sorry, meant six

| | | Re: I'd like your opinion on these photoshopped rims.... The only issue would be finding that seven spoke wheel in black chrome with a 5 x 120mm bolt pattern. If you know of any, please let me know But for now, I'll be going with these...

| | | Re: I'd like your opinion on these photoshopped rims.... idk if you could get vogue cv7s for your 08, but those rims are among my favorite on a sport sedan. they look great. check out some of the cts-v guys with their stock rims powdercoated to get an idea of what the rim would look like. if you can get a set of those (18s or 20s) then do it for sure!
also, these would look great on your car, powdercoated or not. Look a lot like the mallet design rims for the mallet vs.
six spokes? TIS 06, the rims i would get if i was to ever go 19"+ on the CTS
cheers back at u | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
