Lightbulb Please Help!!!

I went to my dealership to get my ONSTAR from analog to digital.
I got directions and connections. They charged me 791.00 dollars canadian.
Does that seem reasonable to you guys? On Onstar website it shows
Model Year 2007 and Newer Vehicle Pricing:
39.90/month* or $438/year* (plus tax)
please advise.

Re: Please Help!!!

Mike,

My 3.2 is at 550 max. Where did you hear 1000-1200? Also how much did you pay to up yours to 600? Ever since I put in the Denso spark plugs my idle is extremely smoother but i'm still curious if it's 129 like the stealership quoted me.

Re: Please Help!!!

software update was free...its a service update they put up.. couple guys on here idle at 1000 (i think i started a thred about idle speed on the 3.2 couple weeks ago)and my buddys is at 1000ish and his idles smooth ...just sounds a lot better. his is a 03 3.2 lux sport same as mine but mine is the grey dash and his is the black. so mine is a 0lder 03 from what i have heard...
did you put in your own plugs? i gotta do mine but i really dont have the time. also gotta do a couple other little things....after i get my car back tomorrow and get ripped off by the stealership....just waitin 2 hear " your warrenty doesnt cover this repair"

Re: Please Help!!!

The plugs are not bad so long as you can allocate a good 3 hours to them the first time around and buy a six pack beforehand. It's a tricky job but makes you feel good once you're finished. Then again, maybe that's the beer talking. ;-) If you really need help, I can help you out so just let me know.

Free software update? I called up Old Mill Cadillac (1 minute from my place) and they told me $130. Where did you do yours?

I'm thinking of doing some small things as well, changing the belt/s (definitely not at royfoss) and maybe the shock absorbers because the roads are horrible everywhere. Tomorrow/Today I'm hitting Buffalo to get new tires (Nexen N3000 @ $100 installed and balanced). Cheapest I found in Tdot was $155. I figured I'll save $220 and get some outlet mall shopping done while I'm at it.
