| | | So, I fell in love today... New member here.
I do work for dealers in my area. I take pictures of their used inventories for the internet and put the window stickers and buyer's guides on them. Needless to say, I see a lot of nice cars on a daily basis. Well, I've always loved the CTS since it came out. Today, doing my normal routine work, I ran across this gorgeous piece of work and fell in love instantly. It's an '04, black w/gray interior, luxury sport, 3.6L, all the bells and whistles. About the only thing it doesn't have is navigation, which is no loss to me. This is EXACTLY the car I would have ordered if I could have gotten a brand new one. It has 49,000 miles and they're asking (my price) $16,500. It shouldn't be a problem for them to get the payments where I need them. I have the car for the weekend, but I'm still waiting for my salesman to call me and show me some numbers. I'm so wired right now it's not even funny. So, hopefully it all goes well and I'll be speaking to you guys as a new member of the CTS owners in a day or 2. |

The CTS emblems on the doors will be coming off for sure. If you'll notice a spot above the driver's door handle; that's a sticker that has, what I assume to be, the owner's initials. I've already pulled the driver's sticker off and need to do the one on the passenger side. They also stuck a Cadillac script logo on the left side of the trunk opposite the rear CTS emblem, that's gotta go too. The only problems I've found are 5 small door dings on the driver front and rear doors. I have a hookup with a PDR guy who can take care of those. Under the hood the driver's side hood strut and the mounting tabs are gone. No biggie there either. Beyond that, it's perfect.
I've been browsing the forums and checking things out already. The first thing to be done is to get the rear windows tinted darker. I like the smoked foglight and sidemarker lenses I'm seeing as well and want to, at the very least, black out the chrome strip on the hood. I want to find out how to get into the headlights so I can get some Silverstar Ultra high beam bulbs and replace the little parking light bulbs with some white LEDs. I also need to find the bulb numbers and how to access the interior courtesy light bulbs, too, so I can replace them with white LEDs. I have all white LED interior lights in my Impala I'm driving now and already can't stand these inferior filament bulbs. lol |

| | | Re: So, I fell in love today... Just a bit about me and my cars. I'm a GM guy at heart. Of the 9 vehicles I've owned since '92, I've had a Plymouth (still have) and a BMW, and those have been my only strays from GM. I currently drive a 2000 Impala LS, loaded, that I truly enjoy and plan to keep if the CTS deal goes right and a 1991 GMC Sierra that is my baby and my show truck that I bought in 1996.

| | | Re: So, I fell in love today... Beautiful call. I have the same rims like everyone mentioned, debadge that beasty, fog them oranges, and cover up that dumb chrome lip on the hood, i HATE that. I cant wait to tint mine up next week About those dings, my dealer (when i bought my car end of last year) took out all the dings for me that i could find before i purchased it. So i was stoked.
also since its a black car, id consider painting the grill, i just did mine came out great: |

| | | Re: So, I fell in love today... So, I got the car for $16,500. They were going to ask $18,500, but hooked me up since I do work for them. I also got a 4yr/110,000mi warranty to boot!
This car is so wonderful! Ran it to 120 last night. Solid as a rock and still pulling pretty hard.
The tint just ain't cutting it right now, so hopefully I can get that taken care of this week. I'm digging the smoked fogs and sidemarkers, so I'll have to get a set of those. In the rear, the reverse lights need to be tinted at the very least. I can get a deal from the bodyshop that did the work on my truck to take care of that grille and chrome strip too. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
