Re: dash board shaking......

did your balancing guy say they were perfect, you may have to try a road force balancer. turns the tires heavy spots to the rims light spots, sometimes it's the only way to perfectly balance aftermarket rims. you could try rotating wheels one at a time, and see where the shaking goes. also an untrue rotor can cause that(usually felt under braking too), or improperly torqued lug nuts.

Re: dash board shaking......

did you have a shake with the stock rims?
if not then it is obviously the new rims and tires... there is a rim shop in mississauga that is really good. frontire tire. noticed you are from toronto. its just off of dundass by dixie rd.

Re: dash board shaking......

without hub rings your rims may not be centered properly on your hub...they line everything up.
if you have 5x115 you dont really need them but if you have the 5x114.3 then you do. this can cause a problem...rims are known to actually fall off i read on here somewhere...my buddy had 5x114.3 rims he was gonna give me and he read that and then said he wont let me put them on my car..black 18's...woulda been nice.
anyway/...proper bolt pattern not usually needed

Re: dash board shaking......

okay im not sure what you mean but that but i have 10 holes in total so im guessing that one is 5x115 and the other is 5x114.3 correct me if im wrong i mean the mechanic said they are not bad the fit is almost really tight so i dont know where to go from here

do you think the rings will make a difference because i have spent so much on trying to get the going good

thanks buddy

where in the Gta are you located?

Re: dash board shaking......

Even with hub rings a wheel that does not have the correct bolt pattern can cause problems sometimes serious. When the lug nuts are tightened they put a side load on the wheel studs. Which are not designed for that.

Re: dash board shaking......

Make sure to use the star pattern when tighening the wheels, many GM cars use lugcentric technology to center the wheel, but hubcentric rings still help. When tighetining make sure you do each one a little at a time
