hey im having a problem with the stereo i ordered from ebay i have the thing unlocked with and techII to work with my Vin but the problem is that the F1 F6 diagnistic is not accessable i dont know why but its Version 1.0 i dont knw if that helps..
any advise?

Some of those radio head units are black, others are gray. (the face of the unit) I think Kisdaring is saying that the only gray ones have the diagonotics on the screen.
not true...my buddy has a black 03 cts with black dash, black deck and his does the diaog test...just did it on his car 2 days ago.
its the origional deck as far as we know. mine is grey and it does it to. both are lux sport,i dunno if that makes a diffeence.
There was a midyear change in both color and functionality. Possibly both were not done at the same time. There is also a possibility that the faceplate was swapped out between a gray and black unit as part of a replacement.
just an update i think the ones made in Germany V1.5 have the function of F1 F6 and the crappy ones made in MexicoV1.0 dont please some one correct me.
if its that big of a deal, you can buy a obd2 reader for about 100-150 when they go on sale...canadian tire has them...does this deck do anything else? or is it just the check engine codes?
