Need Help W/ Sound!!

HI.. i just got a navigation system and plug all the harness's
the DVD system works but i dont get any sound at all even with the radio stations


any help would be great ...thanks

The bvious thing would be to check all the connections and the fuses, especially the one in the radio itself.

must me a bose deck if you have bose speakers...aftermarket decks wont play sound to the bose speakers.

if you have the right harness, make sure the blue/white on the harness you bought for the car is connected, that is the amp turn on. Without the amp on you wont get any sound.

What type of navigation did you get? Aftermarket or stock??

I'm having the same sound issue, but am still waiting to get my theftlock deactivated (tomorrow).

I have the theftlock screen when I turn on the car, but if I eject a cd and put it back in, everything shows, but with no sound. Though I can see the CDs listed, it won't even play them, so I'm hoping this has to do with the theftlock and not a fuse problem.

i have a 2005 stock navi system... hey diamond ...we do got same problem...so did the deactivate thing help???

The theftlock should fix your problem. If not, I would recheck your wiring....Dont worry because the Navi will work with either Bose or Nonbose, but after theftlock you should be good to go Unless somehow both of you got retarded navis

The TheftLock deactivation worked. Now I have sound for CDs and radio as well as a functional navigation system, but no sound from the navigation (i.e. no voice telling me where to go), and I did add a 10amp fuse.

Did you follow the instructions in the FAQ? IF you read the instructions you would have seen that there is a part 2 that will give you the voice prompts.....I never did the voice prompts as it would just get annoying and turned off... I think both of you already owe this forum for advice, why not throw some money as a supporting member and keep getting the good advice....then you can throw some pics up in your avatar and signature showing off your ride....Theres lots of good info that we need to keep around, so throw a few bucks that we have saved and will continue to save you and keep this board alive
