Exclamation How Can I Re-Program The Personalized Settings?

Remove this ad
I am buying my step-dads CTS from him and it has their personalized settings saved into the car for their mirrors and their seats, radio stations, etc.. How can I override those settings with my own? It's a 2007 CTS, nothing special.

You might try reading the owners manual.

set the seat mirrors radio volume etc all how you want it then push and hold the drivers 1 or 2 button till it beeps. that saves the current settings.
to set the rest of the features you use the radio tune button . push it in it will open up a menu.
thats how mine is all set up depends on the features and options your car has. if this doesnt work , as stated above..check the manual.

Re: How Can I Re-Program The Personalized Settings?

The seats & mirrors ony take a second. Get everything adjusted the way you want & the look for a button by the mirror adjustment that has a 1 & 2 on it. The 1 & 2 correspond with the 1 & 2 on the back off the keyless entry fob. When you get the seat & mirrors set just hold the 1 or 2 down (depending on which keyless fob you'll be using) until it beeps a couple times. You're stereo & climate settings will also be different for each fob. It's easy to program all of the different settings by going into "set up" on the DIC. Again, all this is in the manual & you can see the manual online here:

Re: How Can I Re-Program The Personalized Settings?

Also, for setting the DIC personalization I had to have the parking prake set to get into all the options. I don't know if it'd be the same for you, but I was getting frustrated until I figured that out.

Maybe because you have a standard you have to use the parking break??? I can change mine without even putting it in park.
