What is the specifications and testing for this GM standard? Who conducts the tests?

GM4718M Must is some kind of G/D secret. No one wants to share its information. I guess I’m not in the oil secret society!

Thank you…But……Why should I pay for a document that should be provided to me? Gm says I must use a synthetic oil “mobile1” Which apparently is not true synthetic oil. I should be provided with this”GM4718m” test standard GM says the oil I use must meet.


No worries I contacted my Cadillac Service department they will provide me the information this “GM4718M document” I want free of charge.

The document you can get free from the court house but requires you going thiere etc. Pacernet allows for all that stuff real time and from the comfort of your own home
