Since I have aftermarket rims and they show a lot more of the rotor, you can see a lot of rusting and discoloration around the factory rotor/brakes. This is a real eyesore. I am looking at it as a $270 cosmetic upgrade.

| | | Re: Brake upgrade (drilled & slotted) Same here, I just got 20's and didn't realize a couple of my rotors have rust on them until they were put on
Looking for new rotors and pads, but I read somewhere that it depends if you have the luxury/sport suspension on which size you can get??
I know I have the "C Package" which I believe includes the luxury/sport package, but I'm not sure... |

| | | Re: Brake upgrade (drilled & slotted) Nah, just your standard whatever's from www.rotorpros.com. I am thinking of painting the inside of those slot lines.
Good idea or no? Will it rust in that line since the brake pad isn't rubbing on it? They say there's an anti-rust coating on them, but can that be believed? |

| | | Re: Brake upgrade (drilled & slotted) I have a question.
My car has the soft suspension, so the rotors are 11.90 x 1.25 (front) and 11.70 x 1.10 (rear), and 16" wheels.
If I upgrade to 18"s and the rotors for sport suspension package that are 12.80 x 1.25 (front) and 12.60 x 1.10 (rear), should I chage the calipers as well? |

| | | Re: Brake upgrade (drilled & slotted) I have my car on lowering springs (which i believe simulates the same clearance as sport suspension) and did not have any problems. I am really not qualified to answer your question though. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
