GM part number for 6 disc vice single disc player?

I bought what was advertised as 6 disc off ebay. Turned out to be single disc.

I'm in process of returning the radio and getting a refund minus the $50 it took the dealer to unlock "new" radio.

Does anyone have the specific part number for the 6 disc so I can avoid this in the future?

I will be selling my 6 disk excellent and perfectly working cd player in the next few weeks once my gps deck arrives, if you want I can sell it to you and then you will know for sure you got a 6 disk changer deck

Depending on what year your radio is??? Either one of you.... I may want one or the other as long as they are from a late 04 or earlier.... I have an 03 and want to be able add my Ipod and can't do it my radio.. I need one that is XM capable...

Mine is a 2004 with the black faceplate and "Band" button. Single disc - I'd be willing to trade/swap/sell whatever if I can get a "no $hit" 6 disc changer.

So no one has the part number for a 6 disc?? Isn't there a "load" button or something different between a 6 disc and a single disc?

Hmm.. I should try and pawn off my original single disc player on ebay as a 6-disk player. Who knows, if they managed to fool you, I should have a good shot!

You could do it but then you would have the headache of refunds, negative feedback yada, yada, yada.....

The company I bought it from has several more auctions running with the same description as a 6 disc but is the same unit with the "band" button. Wonder how they get by doing that???

Anyway, any idea of the button layout that would clue me into it being a 6 disc instead of a single disc?

mine has a load button...here is a pic of it..its a 6 disk from a 03 lux sport.
what is this i pod i lock thing?(whatever its called,whats it do? do i have it)

the difference between the 6 disk and the single is the "Load" button. The single disk says "Play" the 6 says "Load"

Yep, as I suspected the ones on eBay have "play" buttons not "load" buttons and still are advertised as 6 disc players.

Don't really need the cassette player but for the right price the wife could live with it. I maybe intersted...

After much back-and-forth via e-mail he admitted they sold me the wrong player. I just wanted him t exchange me the 6 disc I ordered but he is only willing to refund me (minus unlock dealer fee) the price I paid.

He has three others on eBay right now and two of them are actually single disc players "play" button model advertised as 6 discs. Said he'd research and modify llistings....

Anyway, lesson learned, Thanks for the help.
