i think my 2003 cadillac cts is not responding very well and the exceleration is not that quick in other words it sucks.
a wile back when i was trying to fix the airbag light that was always ON i was told by one of the dealers to unplug the negative on the battery for about 30 seconds and and plug it back and leave the car running for about 2-3 minutes and that should fix the airbag but ever since that i'v noticed that its not as quick the proformance stinks....
i dont get any codes and the DIC....

any suggestions appriciated
thanks in advance
Marcel

Re: cadillac cts lagging on proformance

Time to sell the car and get a 2008 cadillac cts. That would be my best suggestion possible.

Best Regards,
Khan.

Re: cadillac cts lagging on proformance

have you driven much at all since then? ur cars computer should reset itself after some normal driving ... im not sure the exact time or distance but it should be fine, disconnecting the negative just kills all power in the car ... my battery died (from leaving my phone charger plugged in) while i was away in vegas not too long ago and i felt my car was feeling awkward after jumping it but on later that day while driving i could feel it go back to normal ...

Re: cadillac cts lagging on proformance

I agree. The computer needs time to reset after being unpluged for a few minutes. My pops 91 caviler run like crap for a while anytime we disconnected the battery. And youre gonna have to get used to smart ass comments on this bourd. There is a lot of smart ass'es on this bourd (myself included) but I really do try to help people if I can. Good luck with your car bro...

It sounds like you may have disconnected the power while the car was running. I've never done that.

I think the instruction is to turn the car off, disconnect the battery for 2-3 min. and then reconnect it. That takes away all power from the computer and lets every thing start up fresh. You may have to reset the auto windows when that is complete. ( somehow all the radio stations stay in memory).
